We are excited to announce that Joonya has teamed up with Trees for the Future (TREES), an international development non-profit that meets a triple bottom line by planting trees: poverty alleviation, hunger eradication, and healing the environment.

The team at TREES are responsible for training farmers to plant and manage ‘Forest Gardens’ that sustainably feed families, raise their incomes by 400 percent, and end deforestation. TREES receives donations to implement work in areas where they have the greatest impact. Working across 5 countries in Sub-Saharan Africa (Cameroon, Kenya, Senegal, Tanzania, and Uganda), the non-profit has planted over 150 million trees since 1989.

Joonya has committed to planting a tree for every order received via our website, which will mean that not only are our customers choosing more earth-friendly products, they are actually positively contributing towards regenerating devastated forests in a world crying out for help.
